Aracataca Macondo
- Departure from your hotel or place of accommodation in Santa Marta A 2-hour car transfer to Aracataca.
- We begin the tour of Macondo by visiting the “I Love Aracataca” mosaic. We continue to the Macondo Linear Park.
- You will also visit the train station and the Remedios la Bella monument, where you will have 10 minutes to take photos and learn about the history.
- Next, we will visit the July 20th Boardwalk, where information about its significance will be provided.
- You will also visit the Maria Montessori School, where Gabo learned to read.
- Afterward, we will visit the grandparents’ house of Gabriel García Márquez, called ‘the house museum’.
- Lunch
- Tour of the Telegraphist’s House, a museum with important literary pieces.
- Visit to the San José Church and the Bolívar Park.
- Return to Santa Marta.
