Day
We will begin our adventure at the emblematic “I Love Santa Marta” sign. Here we will be greeted by our guide, who will welcome us and share valuable recommendations to make the most of every moment of this tour. Then, we will head out to enjoy a fresh juice, prepared with tropical fruits that grow in the Caribbean region and in the surroundings of Santa Marta. This will be a refreshing start to our tour.
Our tour will continue in the Simon Bolivar Park. As we explore its paths, we will arrive at a fruit stand, where we can enjoy a glass of fresh fruit. Here, our guide will tell us the fascinating history of this place, which has been a beloved meeting point for locals for over 25 years.
Next, we will indulge in some traditional flavors. We will taste the famous perros cebolleros, a local delicacy that is pure tradition. Afterwards, we will venture out to taste a crispy frito at another of the city’s emblematic places, which has been offering its specialty for more than 80 years, followed by a traditional Samarian dessert that will make us smile with satisfaction.
Continuing with tradition, we will enjoy a fritter, a delicacy that celebrates the festivities with its unique flavor. Afterwards, we will be seduced by charcoal-grilled arepas, filled with melted cheese, which will make us feel at home.
To combat the Caribbean heat, nothing better than some fresh raspados, perfect for cooling off. And to close with a flourish, we will indulge ourselves with an irresistible salchipapa, a perfect mix of french fries and sausages that will fill us with joy and energy.
