Day

  • We will begin our experience with a land transfer from Santa Marta, a journey of approximately two hours to reach Palomino, a destination renowned for its natural beauty.
  • Once in Palomino, we will continue the route along an unpaved road for approximately 20 minutes until we arrive at an indigenous community. Here, we will take a one-hour tour to learn more about the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of its inhabitants, in a space for enriching exchange with the local community.
  • Afterward, we will enjoy an ecological walk of approximately 15 minutes along the Ancho River branch, a natural environment that allows us to connect with the region’s biodiversity.
  • Then, we will return to Palomino to start one of the day’s most anticipated activities: tubing. From there, we will take a 10-minute walk to the starting point, where we will prepare to float along the Palomino River. For approximately an hour and 30 minutes, we will drift down the river, enjoying a jungle-like environment, until we reach the mouth where the river meets the Caribbean Sea.
  • At the end of the activity, we will board our transport for a 15-minute journey to the location where we will have lunch. We will have free time to savor the local gastronomy  and relax in the surroundings before beginning the return to Santa Marta, a two-hour journey that will mark the end of this day filled with nature, culture, and adventure.
