Atazi Trip

We will start the experience with the pick up of the participants at 6:00 a.m., from their hotel or place of lodging. Our first destination will be Vereda Los Linderos, where we will enjoy breakfast to prepare for the adventure.
We will then board a 4×4 vehicle and head into the mountainous landscape, traveling on dirt roads for approximately two hours until we reach the Quebrada del Sol trail. This is a picturesque peasant village, once colonized by people from the interior of the country. On the way, we will have the chance to observe the impressive Colón and Bolívar peaks, the highest coastal mountains in the world.
Upon arrival, we will take a short tour of the village to learn more about the life and customs of its inhabitants. Afterwards, we will continue our journey to the Kogui indigenous community, where you will be able to appreciate the culture, way of life and traditions of this ancestral ethnic group. At the end of the visit to the community, we will return to Quebrada del Sol to enjoy a typical lunch of the region.
Later, we will descend to the main road of the Troncal del Caribe towards the Don Diego River, a perfect natural environment to relax and admire the scenery. There, we will enjoy an afternoon of relaxation until 4:00 pm. Then, we will return to Santa Marta after a day full of memories.
Note: The return route may vary, and the possibilities of swimming in the rivers will be subject to weather conditions.
