Some partnerships go beyond a tour booking. The ones that last are the ones born from understanding the real objective behind each activity: strengthening a team, building genuine connection, and caring for the people who make an organization’s work possible. That is exactly what has happened between Magic Tour Colombia and CENIPALMA, Colombia’s Palm Oil Research Center, over more than two years of working together.

What started as a single wellness activity for the team grew into a sustained relationship of trust and co-creation, in which every experience was designed with purpose: from the first hike in Tayrona National Park to the last year-end celebration in one of the most magical settings of the Colombian Caribbean.

Why employee wellness is a strategy, not a cost

Organizations that invest in their people’s wellbeing don’t do it out of generosity — they do it because the numbers back them up. According to a Gallup study, companies with high levels of workplace wellbeing register 41% less absenteeism, 59% less voluntary turnover and 17% more productivity. Deloitte estimates that for every dollar invested in wellbeing programs, organizations generate a return of up to 3.27 dollars in productivity and cost savings.

The message from employees themselves is even clearer: according to the Wellhub 2025 report, 86% of employees consider their wellbeing as important as their salary, and 89% say their performance improves when they prioritize their physical and mental health. In a talent market where professionals choose where they want to work, wellbeing shifts from a nice-to-have benefit to a real competitive differentiator.

CENIPALMA understood this. And rather than settling for generic leisure activities, they chose a partner capable of designing purposeful experiences rooted in the natural setting of the Caribbean and the Sierra Nevada, delivered with a professional and human approach that goes far beyond conventional tourism.

The experiences we have built together

Every activity developed with CENIPALMA was designed from scratch to address a specific objective around wellbeing, connection and team development. These are the three main experiences of this partnership:

1. Hiking in Tayrona Park: connection, team and resilience

The first major challenge was taking the CENIPALMA team to the heart of Tayrona National Natural Park, in the Cabo San Juan del Guía sector. A trek that was not just physical exercise: it was an experience carefully guided by our psychologist guide, who connected each moment of the trail with the team’s objectives.

The activity had a triple purpose: generating genuine connection with nature to reactivate the senses and reduce stress levels; strengthening teamwork through the challenges of the trail (every obstacle on the path was a metaphor worked through with the group); and ensuring that each participant reached the finish line feeling they had achieved it together with their teammates.

The beach at Cabo San Juan, with the Caribbean Sea as the final backdrop, was the perfect ending: that moment when the team arrives exhausted, looks at each other, and understands they are capable of more than they believed. A result that no meeting room can produce.

2. Wellness and connection in Minca: yoga, cacao and mindfulness

The second experience took the CENIPALMA team to Minca, the mountain village nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada that offers the kind of quiet and cool air that allows the body and mind to release what they don’t need.

The day began with a yoga and meditation session: breathing, relaxation and conscious movement. Not as a sport, but as what yoga fundamentally is: the union of mind, body and spirit, and a connection with the surrounding environment. A practice that lowers internal noise and prepares the body to receive what comes next.

What came next was a cacao experience nobody forgets. The team lived firsthand the physical and emotional benefits of ceremonial cacao: from its properties as a natural vasodilator to its capacity to generate states of emotional openness and group connection. They also learned the complete cacao process: from seed to cup, understanding the impact this plant has on the local ecosystem and on the economy of communities in the Sierra Nevada.

The day continued with a visit to a coffee farm, where the team experienced the origin coffee process and shared a lunch in a natural setting. The closing moment was beside a river in the Sierra Nevada, with a guided meditation in open nature: the sound of water, cool breeze, eyes closed, team united. An experience that is not a company benefit; it is a small but real transformation in each person.

The thread running through the entire day was sustainability as a way of living: understanding that caring for the natural environment is also caring for oneself, and that organizations that promote that awareness build teams with stronger, more committed values.

3. Year-end celebration in a Caribbean paradise

The third chapter of this partnership was a year end celebration that the CENIPALMA team remembers as one of the best in their history. Magic Tour Colombia designed a special lunch at one of the most exclusive settings on the Tayrona route: a location with limited access, away from the usual tourist circuit, where the combination of beach, nature and privacy created the perfect atmosphere to close the year.

The setting sent one clear message to every participant: you are here because your work matters, because you are part of something important, and because you deserve to celebrate it in an extraordinary place.

What sets Magic Tour Colombia apart to create the experience your team needs?

Many operators can take a group to a beach or a trail. What sets Magic Tour Colombia apart is what happens before, during and after each activity:

● Purpose-driven design: We don’t sell standard tours. We listen to your challenge, understand your team’s objectives and build an experience that addresses them directly.

● Specialized professional accompaniment: Our guides have training in psychology, wellness and group facilitation, and lead each activity to maximize its human and organizational impact.

● Unique natural settings: We work in the most powerful environments of the Caribbean and the Sierra Nevada: Tayrona, Minca, private beaches, mountain rivers, spaces that on their own produce an effect no meeting room can replicate.

● Focus on sustainability and local culture: Every experience integrates elements of the territory, its communities and its knowledge, adding a layer of meaning that connects the team to something greater than the daily work routine.

● Over 20 years of experience: We know the territory, the seasons, the rhythms and the details that make the difference between a well-organized activity and an experience remembered years later.

Tell us your challenge. We’ll create what your team needs.
