The foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest coastal mountain in the world, sink into the sea forming bays and coves of an exceptional beauty: Chengue, Gayraca, Cinto, Neguanje, Concha, and Guachaquita. The coastline is marked by white sandy beaches fringed by rocky atolls, mangroves, and forests, all bathed in the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. This is one of many attractions offered by the National Natural Park Tayrona.
For those looking for contemplation and relaxation, Tayrona Park offers a wonderful and soothing blue sea panorama. For lovers of more exciting and diverse activities you can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving.
Tayrona Park also has archaeological remains of an ancient city of the Tayrona people.
Depart from an agreed meeting point to Neguanje, about 1 hour by vehicle.
Ecological guided hike of about 45 minutes from Cañaveral to Arecifes.
Continuation of the hike through to a mixed area, between beaches and rainforest, at Arenillas beaches and The Pool, arriving after 40 minutes to Cabo San Juan del Guia.
